How this site is funded
Affiliate disclosure
Last updated
TowingCalc is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
What that means in plain terms
When you click a product link on this site and buy something, we may receive a commission. It costs you nothing extra: the price you pay is the same whether you reach the product through us or type it into Amazon yourself.
What it does not change
It does not change which product we recommend. Commission rates do not enter into the selection, and there is no product on this site that is here because it pays better than another one.
It does not change what we say about a product. Where something has a real limitation, it is on the card. We deliberately keep caveats that cost us sales, because a recommendation with nothing bad in it is not a recommendation.
It does not change what we leave out. Several categories on this site name no product at all, because every search result was a seller with no traceable service path behind a part whose failure puts a loose trailer on a road. Trailer safety chains are the clearest case. Those categories earn us nothing and they stay empty.
Prices and availability
Prices and images shown on this site come from Amazon's own data rather than being typed in by hand, which is why they stay current. They still change often, and the price on the product page is the one that applies. Anything shown here is a guide.
Other relationships
We link to TruckingCalc, which is a sister site under the same ownership, for commercial trucking topics that do not belong here. We do not accept payment for editorial placement, and we do not publish sponsored posts.
